Rice Hope Plantation - Real Haunted Place
Formerly known as the Luckins plantation, a young family resided on the plantation. The daughter was eventually shipped off to boarding school where she was abused by the school master. One day she was tied to a tombstone as punishment for misbehaving. The girl was eventually saved by a slave who returned the girl to her grandmother. Traumatized, the young girl was inconsolable. Her grandmother took her into the heron room and rocked the girl until she calmed down. To this day the rocking chair can be seen moving when it is seemingly unoccupied.
