The Old Exchange Building used to house pirates while they awaited execution. According to legend, the infamous pirate Blackbeard was once held in the exchange building. The ghosts of countless restless pirates haunt the halls, bringing with them a feeling of despair and dread. Visitors often note cold spots and the sound of chains swinging from the ceiling. Some witnesses even spotted misty orbs and had a door or two shut on them. Now a historic landmark, the exchange building operates as a museum.
