This cemetery is the second oldest Jewish cemetery in the state and its haunting stories are surrounded by best friends Pauline Moses and Eliza Munnerlyn. The two girls had planned to be married on the same day at the same time, but in two different locations. However, the two girls ended up catching yellow fever and died a few days before their weddings. Visitors have reported hearing girls' laughter coming from the cemetery. Pauline was buried here, and Eliza was buried at the Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church across the street.
