Foster's Tavern
Spartanburg, SC 29302
Constructed in the early 1800's, Foster's Tavern is one of the oldest buildings in Spratanburg. Perhaps due to its ancient history, the three story house has accrued a few paranormal residents. Over the centuries ghost stories have agreed upon a few details in particular. Strange sounds are heard throughout the building. It is believed that footsteps and voices can be heard on the stairs, and horses' hooves rap on the rooftop. Although it is currently a private residence, tours are some times held.
